This afternoon didn't go to plan! Ended up sitting in minor injuries in Cirencester hospital waiting for Chris to have his left eye stitched/steristripped AGAIN.
He fell between bathroom and kitchen door AGAIN!
A dear friend dropped everything and came over to help/pick up what I was supposed to be doing this afternoon. So thank heavens for wonderful friends.
One plus was that I took a call whilst I was trying to sort himself out. I had sold a painting earlier at this weekend's exhibition and I've been asked to do another similar one as a commission. Couldn't stop to sort this out then, but hopefully details will be finalised soon.
We got back home after being seen quickly, with one wound above the left eye glued together and a second smaller on treated the same.
It just shows the best laid plans etc....
So I'll keep on, keeping on!

What a rollercoaster of a day you had! Hope Chris has settled OK after a nasty fall and many congratulations on your commission. I envy your artistic ability - one I totally lack , but I love art exhibitions and galleries a wonderful retreat for the mind
You are having a right time of it? Glad Chris is stuck back together again. Is there something wrong with that area where he has fallen twice? Is he catching his foot on something?
Glad you had some good news about your painting. I am like Tippy...useless! Love looking at the work of those like yourself who turn a canvass into magic.
No, I think he just let's his left foot drag and if he doesn't remember to bring it forward, topples over. He always falls to the left so the left hand side if his face has suffered.
PSP is such a terrible condition, but he's not as bad as some, thankfully.
The bathroom has 5 handrails in strategic places. He can't move anywhere without his walker, and when he was poorly about a month ago, we used his wheelchair for mobility indoors as he was off his feet.
Unfortunately, when he goes down he's like a felled tree, 6ft, 12 stone going straight down, nothing will stop him, unless I'm nearby and can try to prop him up. Luckily he fell into an open doorway. We've had worse falls with more drastic damage.
Fortunately we bought a bungalow when we downsized so there are no steps.
I don't know how you get him up but I couldn't get G off the floor when he fell. So I had to ring for an Ambulance. They usually sent St John's Ambulance. Thank goodness for them! It is a total nightmare.
My heart goes out to you and to your hubby who if he is like mine couldn't understand why I couldn't help him up! He was convinced he could do it with help but he was like a dead weight!
I have an ELK an emergency lifting cushion, provided by my local Physio. Amazing bit of kit which means I can get Chris up unassisted as long as he can move to sit on it. This is then inflated to dining chair height or slightly higher and then he can either stand up or transfer to his wheel chair.
It has saved me numerous calls either to helpful neighbours or paramedics.
Feel very lucky to have it as it's not a cheap bit of kit.
