Saying Goodbye.

My darling husband Stephen passed away last week. He was taken from me far, far too early and I don't know how I look to the future without him!

He donated his brain for research so maybe one day other people will be spared the cruel disease that is CBD.

Over the last couple of years I have followed posts on here and been given a lot of help, support and comfort from reading them even though I rarely post. So I would like to sign off now by thanking you all and wishing you all the best in your journeys in the future.

With love, Jackie xxx

So sorry for your loss.

Be kind to yourself

Love Tippy

Sorry to hear. When you lose someone you truly love the grief is deeply felt for quite some time. I went through this type of grief once before. I’m not looking forward to a repeat.

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Also, Thank You for thinking of those who will be affected by this horrible disease by donating Stephen's brain. Truely heroic.

Sincerely,

D. Junell

Stephen and Jackie, It is with heartfelt thanks to you for your gift of the brain donation. It is through that, the only way to get a true diagnosis, that we all will know more about these awful diseases. And hopefully, with better diagnosis they will find better/any treatments.

Blessings to you both,'

Christine

I am so sorry.

My son's brain was not donated.....everything seemed to have happened so quickly at the end.

The recent research (this month) on Virus and Alzheimer's was brought about by the brain donations. You have done a great service. I thank you!

Jackie,

I grieve with you and for you. My wife lost her battle earlier this month. My head tells me that she is better off no longer suffering from that cruel disease, but my heart aches. I Lao understand your need to distance yourself from this forum as it continues to remind me of the disease. I limit my replies now, especially for those who are hurting like me.

Wishing you blessings as you try to heal from this disease.

Bobby

I think Stephen only survived about 6 years of the illness but looking back its hard to pin point exactly when it started and it took a long time to get a correct diagnosis as it does in many cases. Stephen was 63. xxxxx
