Samila I don't know of any homes near you but you really need a Nursing Home instead of a Care Home. In a Nursing Home they will give him Nursing Care but they won't do that in a Care Home. You need to search on the internet for Nursing Homes near you and search the CCG rating. In fact read the report to make sure they have been given a good rating when inspected.
Can I ask have you had any help at home caring for your husband? Also is he on antibiotics because he has an infection? They are unlikely to out him on liquid antibiotic for a fall. Has he got pneumonia or a urine infection?
Dear Marie, he has aspiration and chest infection but they said may be tomorrow after blood test they can give him antibiotic orally ! Very hard time for me , no I don't have help at home ! Thank you so much for your information . Xx
Well tell them he can't come home until they arrange carers at home for you as you can't give him the Care he needs.
Alternatively tell them you can't cope and want him to go to a Nursing Home of your choosing. You need to tell them that your husband needs CHC funding and you want it fast tracked due to his illness. Otherwise you will have to pay for it.
There is a lot of stuff on the site about CHC but if he's in hospital you have the upper hand as they will want the bed?
Holy Cross Nursing Home in Vines Cross, near Heathfield is really lovely, the staff are so caring. Ben has been there for respite and I was very impressed. It's not on your doorstep but not too far by car. Other than that I don't know of others in the Brighton area, I'm sure there must be good ones nearer to you.
When we looked for a home for my father we searched the local homes around the area from contacts from the Internet. It’s hard breaking going to look around. My dad did have a social worker that helped us too. After a year of help at home with carers my dad had to go into a home. It was all too much my mum looking after him at home it was making her poorly too.
