Just had my assessment to see what they can provide Mum. They are putting forward 5 nights and 1 hour per day for washing, dressing and administering medication. Iโ€™m delighted and almost feel like I have my life back and can start been a daughter again very soon ๐Ÿ˜ xx

Thanks to everyone who gave me advice and support. Youโ€™re all amazing xx

Great :)

Now it goes in front of the funding panel. They cannot change the recommendation...

But... When you get it - Don't forget to go back to them if things deteriorate and you need more support. When you get it you are through the door for all care to be provided. It is not simply an approval of that care plan. They expect deterioration and they step up the care as needed.

Well done. You cannot imagine how happy I am when I read someone is going to get CHC... It's a lifeline. :)

(Stressful of what?)

:)

Thanks Kevin. I was told there was a limit which is ยฃ680 the cost of a nursing home + 40%

Hopefully what she has offered will be agreed x

Hi

No, legally there is no limit. The National Service Framework makes it very clear that they must meet all needs. I wouldn't pick a fight on it. Just accept what they give and as the needs increase just keep going back and telling them. When they refuse to meet a need is the time to get active.

Well that's my take on it.
