Hi, Christine47 and I (Enjoysalud) discovered that we live within 90 minutes of each other (given the traffic in Los Angeles). Today we met half way at UCLA. The photo was taken at our last visit at UCLA, Tuesday, February 27, 2018.
I lost my 55 year old son to PSP, and Christine is the caretaker for her husband who has PSP. I am the one with the white hair.
I have appreciated the photos you have posted and now you get to see what we look like.
Blessings, from Los Angeles, CA, USA.....another gorgeous day today!!!

And that we get to talk, and interrupt each other with questions, and get instant support, not to mention hugs or have to wait for an email.....because we live in the same time zone.
Margarita and Christine that is a lovely photo. It's great that you have been able to meet up.
I have a cousin who has 3 daughters who lives in CA! One of her daughter's asked me if I would like to go for a holiday but I am not sure I could cope with the heat!! It made me smile when you mentioned it was another glorious day! I would probably be in the fridge! 😁.
I am so pleased you have met up. It's good to have someone you can share your experiences with.
Marie, Los Angeles is a BIG BIG city. The temperature where Christine lives (Westchester) is probably always several degrees cooler than where I live (Granada Hills). I grew up on the Westside but I could NOT afford to live there. The San Fernando Valley, where G.H. is located, is always colder in the winter and hotter in the summer. Now, in my late 70s I love the heat. I seldom, if ever, turn on the A/C.
Where do your 3 daughters live? You should definitely visit your daughters...............although I know at present that is impossible.
Margarita they are my cousin's daughters. One lives in Long Beach I think. The other two live in Pasadena as does my cousin. My cousin always complains about the heat. Her daughter's don't. Suppose it is because they have always lived there? I actually have another cousin in San Jose. Both of them are quite a bit older than I am. I am exactly half way in age between my cousin in Pasadena and her eldest daughter! Oddly it's the youngest one who has asked me a few times to go and visit them.
I like our temperate climate though. Even going to France, Italy and so on is an effort! 😂. Maybe I should go North to Iceland or Norway?
Yes, I realized after I sent a reply that you were talking about your cousin's daughters. Long Beach is about 90 minutes and it is a port so near the ocean.
Pasadena is about 40 minutes, tends to get smoggy.
The solution is to come to California between October and May. The weather is cool then.
So lovely for you two ladies to meet up and get along so well, it is very special to meet up with people who really understand exactly what you are or have been through, it is a very special bond. I hope you keep building on your friendship it is so beneficial for both of you.
That’s brilliant. There is something very special about meeting someone who knows and understand exactly what you are both going through. but it’s weird having old friends, that has got you through some tough times, that you don’t recognise.
How are you doing with the loss/grief of your mom's death? It has been a difficult year for me with the loss of my son, 55 years old, May 4, 2017. Now, with all the exciting feedback from those who are involved in the Abb-vie and Biogen clinical trials, I wish that he had stayed longer.
