Well I ordered the CBD oil from the online place Kevin linked, have given it to Colin for a few days, lowest dose, and he said it makes him feel more relaxed, I haven’t noticed any difference in is rigidity, but if he feels better I will carry on, I will let you know if there are any more benefits, as I will be upping the dose weekly.
Love and hugs

I've been on CBD oil now for a couple of months. I started out low and have worked up to 1,000 mg. It has not helped me with rigidity but does help with tremors. One thing I have found helpful is CBD cream. My understanding is it is coconut cream mixed with CBD oil. It's wonderful. Any aches and pains are gone within a short time of applying the cream. My doctor is aware I am using and has no problem with it.
I get my oil locally and it's very reasonably priced compared to what I've seen online but they do not sell online for now. Wisconsin just legalized at the end of 2017.
Thanks for the info taihde, this sounds useful for my husband. It won't be legal in the UK but sometimes you have to break rules, anything that helps him with pain.
W is now saying his back is very sore and stiff. I'm wondering if this is the start of the rigidity part of PSP setting in. Will ask GP if he will refer him for Physio to see if that eases it. If not, let me know if you break the rules Kate and it helps and I might join you! xx
That might be the correct dose for you, but it sounds high. The UK Health recommendation for Parkinson's is 6mg twice a day. However many factors can influence the dose people need individually.
You might want to take a look at this. Too much oil has a decreasing effect.
The dosage is 1 dropper full 2x day. So it is 1 mg per dropper. The strength is what has been increasing to the 1000 mg. The neurologist is monitoring so I feel safe with the dosage. I've actually noticed my left arm (which has had no movement for a few months) in the last few days is actually moving a little and I could hold a mirror between my thumb and fingers this morning. Baby steps but an improvement for however long it lasts. I was just tested last week and still have 100% in my right arm, good balance and good cognitive skills. So at the moment things are moving slowly and I am trying anything I can to keep it that way.
This was trialling full cannabis not just the oil which has the psychotropic THC removed. Its of interest because it shows no conflict between the two.
I've lost that link for the Cannabinol oil. Could you post it for me please?
Hi Kevin, thanks so much for the info. Not sure which link you mean (am I being a bit blonde!) re Cannabinol oil, have googled the said oil and several links come up. The info taihde re CBD cream sounds quite good to try with Ben. All this makes me feel like a dealer as I understand it's not legal here. Not sure if that is correct but know doctors can't prescribe as I asked Bens GP directly. Talk about living life on the edge!
No, its me having a blond moment. Still have them despite having lost my hair - and that's not fair at all! It was Helen who had the link. Sorry.
No Cannabinol (CBD oil) is legal in the UK. from licensed sellers.
Cannabis is made up of two families of active ingredients. THC and Cannabinol. The THC is the psychotropic or drug component and the Cannabinol is not a 'drug' as such. CBD will not get you 'high' and it is legal. GP's can prescribe it, but only for a very limited number of illnesses. PSP is not one of them.
I was telling my daughter about your post and she tells me that you can buy it in Holland and Barrett in the UK but she is not sure what strength it is.
