and this is what I saw. Looks like we will be going nowhere today except close to the fire. It's still snowing and W has a hospital appointment tomorrow. Not looking forward to driving in this weather.

Face Timed our 7 and 5 year old grandchildren in Australia and the youngest asked if I was going out to build a snowman!! They would just love to be here for the snow.

Hope everyone is keeping warm and staying indoors. Lots of Love Nanny857xx

What a relief. I was just going to say cancel it. I haven’t been able to get my car out since Tuesday and anyone who drove out then, has had to leave their cars somewhere away from our hilly estate.

It’s bitter out there. Keep warm.

Snowing here as well ! Pretty to look at but keep warm. Don't drive out. It only takes one careless driver in front of you to skid and you are stuck !!!

Snowman days well past but Chris would have been out there a few years ago. Jean xx

And all our lovely snow is gone! I would gladly take yours if I could.

Wishing you all a cozy day by the fire, and no emergencies.

I've been a little low, but decided yesterday to make faggots for St. David's Day, according to my dear grandmother's recipe, and this evening will have a friend around who likes them, too. (Not for everyone!) It's odd how the familiar fragrance and the tasting this morning warmed my heart and cheered me up. Some of my scattered family will be doing the same tonight, and I love that thought.

Henry was with me last year for this, and I miss him so terribly, but I am grateful that I had him in my life, however briefly, and I must hold to that.

Love to you.

Sarah

Never had faggots EC, glad making them brought a little happiness. Happy St David's day, hope you have a lovely evening with your friend. xx

You are welcome to it EC! We don't know how to handle it here.

The whole country has come to a stand still. I am in a Red Alert area, meaning this will kill. There is barely 1/2" of snow on the ground! Admittedly, it's extremely cold out there and I am bunkered down for the next 24 hours. Fire about to be lit and plenty of wine available. Blow the diet!

Hope your evening with Friends and Faggots cheers you up. Not a tradition that I follow, even though I can see Wales most days, from across the channel.

Happy St David's Day.

Lots of love

Anne

Not sure it's a good idea to go to the Hospital.

Lovely garden - Is that a cat buried in the snow in front of the weeping cherry tree?

😈

I don't think I will be going anywhere today.

No visiting Liz (:

Hospital has phoned, appointment cancelled, thank goodness. Not a cat Kevin, a white heather lol. Sorry you can't get to see your lovely Liz today. Maybe you will get to finish your book and then you can tell her all about it. Take care xx

The snow looks beautiful to me , but I live in Texas .We've had some rain here , which is wonderful .Can see the problems it might cause though.

Bit late posting but glad your appointment was cancelled, takes that horrible decision out of your hands. Looks as if the snow will be melting away very soon. Good riddance I say.

Looked out tonight and saw 2 tracks had been cleared behind my car. I thanked my next door neighbour who I had seen clearing the snow on the road outside our houses this morning and he told me another neighbour (who I don't really have much contact with) had done it. I was quite surprised at this, so I went round to his house and thanked him. He told me he just wanted to make it easy for me to get my car out of the driveway as he found it difficult getting his car out. I am so blessed to have such good neighbours. The art of chivalry is not dead yet.. Love to all, Nanny857 xx
