Yay! Let's party! It's a local IPA for me! I just got in from a short ski around the old farm. It's not cold, but black clouds have piled up overhead, suddenly pushed over the horizon by a gusty wind. It was sunny and warm for the women's march at the state Capitol this morning, which was heartwarming and hopeful. There were several men rocking pink pussy hats, bless 'em!

Tim hello!!! It is so good to hear from you my Canadian ice cream buddy! How are you doing? I hope you are alright. I think of you often and wonder have you been able to get your favourite ice cream. Hi Marie! how are things in Emerald Isle? I'm managing okay... PSP is progressing. The holidays were very difficult for Trish and I... not quite the same without my stepson Jack. I have done a wee bit of snow shoveling, but I leave the bulk of it to Syd... my snow blower. And to answer your question... yes I still make a point when I'm out to get my DQ dream, all the other times (daily lol) I just scoop from the bucket here at home. I've heard that you have had some pretty nasty weather your way. If you would like some snow, Id be happy to send some your way. Sending a warm Canadian bear hug your way.XXXXX

Meant to tell you the weather forecast from my poart of the UK. Only had a little snow a few weeks ago. Had a terrible gale this week. 78mph gusts! I thought the roof was going to come off. Very scary! Had a couple of days of rain this weekend. We have had cold weather/warmish weather/ sun/rain! That's just our little patch! In Scotland and in parts of England there has been some deep snow. There were also floods in North Devon (South West) yesterday. Spring can't come early enough.

I am glad you both survived Christmas although it must have been so hard without Jack. Life is so cruel isn't it?

I just knew you wouldn't leave that snow alone!! Glad you have been able to get your favourite ice cream though. You deserve it!

I have no idea how it is in the Emerald Isle! Haven't been back for a few years now. When my one and only brother moved to Spain there was no real reason to go back. Maybe I will go back one day but so far my aim is to go to visit my brother. Amazingly there are no planes from the north of England to him! So I am wondering if he loves me enough to drive for 2 hours to the airport I can get to, and then take me back there to get rid of me. It is a four hour round trip for him so it's a bit much to ask?

He has just had a very severe reaction to blood pressure medication and ended up in hospital. So they are doing tests, presumably to see why it happened, and also to see if it has caused any other problems for him. So fingers crossed that he is alright as I really couldn't cope if he wasn't, on top of all that has gone on before.

Dreading next month because it will be my birthday and 10days later the First Anniversary of Garry's death. There is a black cloud over me at present.

Wish I lived near you and you could introduce me to that ice cream! 😃
