Not a cloud in the sky for a whole seven days.........

It is now a week since I returned home from a wonderful holiday in Lisbon.

With the help of my dear friend I manged the steep narrow cobbled streets, we made a great team, as her eyesight was not brilliant I was able to tell her when there was a step or curb to negotiate.

The only time I ended up on the floor was when I sat down on a wooden stool in a rustic restaurant and it slipped from under me.

The view I have attached was taken on the high battlements of a castle, I asked strong looking men to help me up and down the stone steps when there was no handrail. Everyone was so caring and willing to help.

I did not take a lot of pictures but I have included some in a slideshow that I have uploaded here. youtu.be/qO36Telv48Q

Best wishes to all,

Patrick.

Erica feeling stressed today, George has been at the centre today, but just feel I achieved nothing today, granddaughters staying this week so more stressful. Doctor signed George’s power of attorney all came back, he had not put his full name, then he was on holiday for a week, back on Wednesday so stressed we need to get it in, doctor just rang he is coming around for George to sign the forms. How are you lovely lady. Yvonne xxxxx

I'm so sorry to hear it's been a stressful day Yvonne.

You've probably achieved more than you realise but even if you haven't it won't be for want of trying I'm sure and all the more frustrating for that.

And how frustrating the LPA came back and understandably stressful.

How old are your granddaughters?

It sounds like you've got more than usual to cope with.

I'm okay - bit of an emotional rollercoaster most of the time and as work and 130 miles prevent me from being anything other than a once a month 6 or 7 day carer, I feel guilty I can't do more.

I'm with my brother now and today he's been okay. So one day at a time ....

I hope tomorrow is a better day for you.

Sending a hug.

Patrick what a great video! Well done, and well done for figuring out how to post it...not for the first time it has to be said! I can't even figure how to post a link. It might be because I don't use my computer?

You seem to have had a great holiday. I have been told Lisbon is beautiful and you have proved it. I can see what you mean about the church. It brought back some memories to me. Thank you Patrick for sharing your holiday with us.

Take care.
