Hi everyone

Colin is experiencing a terrible pain in the neck, is this another symptom or could he have slept in funny position or something.

He is also have terrible panic attacks about the most ridiculous minor things, along with frightening dreams.

Any ideas on how to help him welcome please.

Love and hugs

Brilliant thank you I will get on to the doctors xxxx

I found a masseuse who comes to the house every two weeks to give Larry a massage. She does his whole body but will focus on his neck when it bothers him.

A forward head position in PSP is recorded. It stresses the neck.

Hi

Liz has had a masseuse and now a physio - both helped a lot.

In her case Ibuprophen and Naproxen helped little.

Hi

To be honest this Nursing Home thing is a heart break. Liz so wants to be home. She came home this afternoon and slept on the sofa. The peace in her was wonderful. She asked to stay at home and it was so wrenching to say she couldn't.

So many tears, but we will get through this.

Love and hugs

That is so hard to hear.My Don was in hospital and nursing home the last 6 weeks of his life but we both thought it was only temporary. If we had known that he wouldn’t come back home it would have been heartbreaking for both.I can imagine your pain.

Hallo, Helen,

Yes, my mother had neck pain too. I used local ibuprofen gels, massage and heat packs. In fact, it was one of the symptoms that seemed to ebb away over time and during my mum's last few months she no longer suffered from it.

It seems neck pain is quite a common PSP symptom. There are quite a few threads about it,

I hope you find something that helps to alleviate Colin's pain, Helen.

Bet wishes, Amanda,
