48 years today. Time flies by so quick. Life is not the same as it was but we're still here, together, in our first home. I'm having a takeaway with my grandson when the carers have put ger to bed. He can't eat so I'll wait till then. I think a glass of bubbly, or maybe two, is on the cards.

I am glad your Grandson is having a meal with you. He sounds like a nice young person. He might be a young man but I can't remember how old everyone's grandchildren are! Either way he is thoughtful to be with you.
Love and hugs to you and Ger. Make the most of it whatever it turns out to be. Last year we managed to have our 50th but I knew it would be the last one. Very bittersweet. Next month would have been our 51st so going for a meal with my son and Granddaughter. Can't face it alone!

Hi marie. Thank you for your good wishes. Our oldest grandson is 27. He got a lovely indian meal and I'm stuffed to the gills.
My brother died 4 years ago and my sis in law always spends their anniversary, liams birthday and christmas with some one of her children. She said it helps make the loss on those special days bearable. I'm glad you're doing something similar. I hope it helps a bit. God bless and take care of yourself.

So my dear well done to you. Ger too. I think Grandchildren make it easier to get through the painful days. So try to make this a regular date with that Grandson of yours.
