Oh Kate, I had sleepless nights over my dad on his scooter. He was a tad older than your dad though, in his 90s. Once he planned a trip to Northamptonshire from here in Kent. He had written it all out, catching trains, riding on major roads, staying in B&Bs to recharge. That was one trip I didn't try to put him off as I really didn't think he would do it. He didn't but I slept a lot easier as time went on and he stopped mentioning it. He did continue to do over 3 miles a trip on main roads here though. Sleep well Kate. Your dad is far too sensible to do something too dangerous....I hope.

Yah Kate what NannaB said!.... and he doesn't want you to become a cross daughter or wife.......My daughter has a motorcycle....just found out she may be going to Greece as a hand on a boat goin up some river.....she doesn't know these people, so Kate is that a good idea....Youve already taught your dad in the ways of "fencing" I'd say you understand good choices....how bout my daughters choice, good or bad.....

George I can imagine you having your crutches taken away from you if you had done a vault over the gate. Hope you've got a back pack to carry all your stuff in.

I was shocked when I had my crutches taken away from me on the flight to Switzerland. Had to hop up the gangway to spend a penny lol. Be good and heal quick. Jane xx
