Transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS)

Hello. I have been reading your posts for a long time since a dear friend of mine was diagnosed with this terrible disease. I just watched a video about the use of TMS therapy (a noninvasive procedure that uses magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain). It says that this therapy alleviates and improves some of the symptoms of Parkinson's. I wander if it could be beneficial for PSP patients as well.

Have you heard or know if this TMS therapy has been used in PSP patients?

I keep you all in my prayers and I HOPE there will be a cure very soon.

Hi, Maria! Our neurologist in Boston was looking at this, believing it was worth further study but not willing or able to try TMS yet, pending psp-specific research results. I don't know of anyone here who has written about their own experience with it. I hope for your friend and everyone here that some treatment is found soon. I believe progress is being made. Best wishes, Ec
