Hope springs eternal. I hope each of will have something happen to us in 2017. Be a breakthrough in Therapy , Funding, Medicine, personal relationships etc. May you recognise it when it comes. For those of us who made through this past year we did it together. Hugs A blessed year ahead . Stay on line and together we will forge ahead and keep on hoping. Happy New Year.

Dear Noella,

It's been so long since you've written. I'm sorry to only now be catching on to that. Are you still here?

Love, Sarah/Easterncedar

Oh yes I am still fighting the good fight. The system is a nightmare. I now have Alberta health home care and their contracted agency at each others throats and now the nurses union is trying to do away with all contracted outside sources and have all services under Alberta Health care. I think I have been caught in the middle. My body may be frail but I still can stir up a storm. Yes Ron and I are still in our own home. It is not without its challenges . The PD itself is the least of our problems we have learned to adapt. However I spend A much time dealing with all thinges involved in getting the help we need. I am at odds with everyone from the minister of health, The liberal government, the Parkinson society of Alberta, Also all provincial programs designed either to help us or make it so hard most would give it up. Than about myself the cancer is responding to my new med and seems to be slowing it down some. I don't have time to post much. Lately I have been on the Alberta Parkinson Web sight a lot sharing a lot of what I have learned from all of you. I do skim through posts on this site especially if a recognise a name. Your all in my thoughts often . I think you guys have things very well under control with supporting new members there is nor much I can add. I will try to update occasionally. Love Noella
