What to give as gifts to an invalid...

I welcome any suggestions to add to my (last ever) Christmas list for my Dad. I thought I wouldn't be able to think of enough gifts for him, just to have packages to rip into like everyone else but lo and behold if I don't have him several things. I made him a nice fleece blanket that's cute and I'll try to remember to post pics of him opening that. I also found a pillow that's the face of a labrador retriever which is the breed of my dog who lives with us, and we use pillows to aleve Daddy's pressure point which is very important; some soft warm pajama pants; a long sleeve tshirt; some loose fitting socks to avoid impeding circulation; his fav candy chocolate covered cherries without the icky white stuff in the middle; a very squishy hand massage ball that looks like a baseball, he can't really use any kind of exercise things but he balls his fists up (his whole body is clenched like that, his legs are clenched together in a bent position and he can't move them,) and this would be good to have in hand when his fists are clenched; some nice eucalyptus lotion; and lastly a small toy gun with nerf pellets which I'll load for him. If it makes him smile or distracts him for even a minute, or better if it gets him moving any part of his body, then it's perfect. So I'm also posting this to give any of you all ideas if you need them, on gifts for the bed bound. (Is bed bound the same as invalid? I don't like the word invalid.. look at what it says. I don't like that... but then I spelled my dog's name Saadee instead of Sadie haha, so I'm weird but really... Sad Die uhm I don't THINK so!!)

Loads of presents, not done mine yet, can't get motivated xxxx

My daughter gave my husband a small electric blanket, just the right size to wrap his legs and feet when he is in his recliner

Why not create a personalized photo album filled with memories that he can enjoy and share. You can easily put this on CD along with few favourite songs as background music. It's a great idea and costs very little.
