This was sent to me by CurePSP, the US variant of the PSP Association. Hope-giving article saying that tau-antibody human trials have started.

Thank you so much Lieve, for giving us this link - I have printed off the article and it is incredibly interesting reading - it will eventually go in my PSP folder, once all my children have read it@!!!! x x x x

Wow!!! Some good news at last! Even better if they discover that in finding a cure for PSP, so many other physically and financially draining illnesses are cured. I have an invested interest in a cure from Alhzlmers as well. My mother has got it, my grandmother had it, do did her mother. My Uncle had it, I think one of my cousins is showing signs!!! Not sure about me, my brain is far to befuddled to work properly anyway!!! The only good thing to look forward to is, these years of living with PSP, will fade into a distant long forgotten memory!!!

Lots of love

Worrying that it quotes that CBD is inherited! But a very interesting article! Most of my man's family died of other things before old age so little family history to go on

Excellent find! Is it the full article that you get when you open the link?

It gives a date of june 8. I went to buy the june or july issue of Scientific American but the article in not in any of these 2 issues. How can we find it if we get only part of it using the connection?

In any case a very very good find. It is so rare to get news that could have a positive outcome for us the close parents of the sufferers!

This is what Cure PSP emailed me so that's all I know... As far as I can see it's the full article, you don't need a subscription. If you want a hard copy, perhaps contact them?

Thank you so much for sharing this. My brother is a geneticist and is also looking into treatment of PSP specifically breaking down tau protein.

My husband has CBD. We always thought his dad had Parkinsons but we are now beginning to wonder if he too had CBD when WE SEE IT DESCRIBED AS INHERITED.
