I am so sorry - I hope you can still be her, say your goodbyes, hold her hand and that she passes gently. It's been a long, hard struggle and sadly time to let go.

Thinking of you these days,

Lieve xx

I am so sorry to hear that Steph75, but I`m sure your Mum must be tired after battling this *** PSP for so long and at least she won`t be suffering soon. Keep strong for her now, you will have plenty of time to grieve later.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I lost my dad to this horrible disease last year so if you have any questions please feel free to contact me. Not an expert but any insight may help.

In solidarity,

So sorry to hear this but you have the right attitude about continuing to do things and not just writing her off. This horrid disease is so random and the stages overlap. From what I have heard on this site , Progression timelines seem to not take a direct route. Your post serves as a reminder to all of us here to take each day one at a time and make the most of every moment. Hard to do when we are sleep deprived  and weary of the day to day drudgery of being a carer. I hope, in the days ahead you have more moments with your mom to treasure. Huge hugs,

Jayne G
