After my last post 11 days ago 'hate this illnesd' at 57 my father passed away at home with respiratory difficulty. Thanks to everyone who sent messages. In the beginning I found this forum difficult but equally found comfort from the messages on what they were going through. Dad went peacefully and quickly. A huge void in our lives but thankful he doesn't have to suffer anymore x

The end
Dear jmc,
I'm so very sorry about your Dad's passing , but glad that he could be at home and have his family close by to support and comfort him. We would all be grateful if our loved ones who had suffered so much can experience ease and peace as their time comes to move on. Warm regards to you and your family.
Elise

He was too young for this, and so must you be. I am very sorry, but hope you are comforted by the love around you. Here, too. Peace, Easterncedar
I'm so sorry J. Your father was so young compared to most sufferers. I hope you can find some comfort in the fact that he went peacefully in the end. Our thoughts are with you.

So sorry to hear your bad news and so young, thinking of you takecare xx
jmcflood02,
Our prayers are with you and your family as you go through the next few days/weeks. It is hard to put our loved ones house/finance etc... in order after they are gone. He was very young. My husband is 62 with this disease. He has had it for 3-5 years already. Did your dad have MSA or PSP?
Many thanks for your kind words. He had PSP.
JMC, sending you and your family love and hoping you are all holding up ok. He is free now. Take comfort in that and remember the good times with family members. Gather and pour over old photos and remember the man, father, husband and friend he was before PSP. Take care and be kind to yourself.
xo JG.
I lost my husband in September 2015 to this disease and found great comfort at this loving website. I was with him at home for all the last days, I'm relieved he and your dad do not have to suffer any more. Peace.
I'm so sorry for your huge loss, your dad was too young, life can be very unfair, but no more suffering for him, RIP, my dad has PSP also, but he's 82. My prayers are with you. ~SHeila
