Hi, Laila. Standing at the edge of the precipice myself, still enjoying some good times, but with increasing difficulty, reading the posts from folks further along who are struggling to care for their loved ones who are helpless and suffering, or out of control in some awful way, or who are in care and unresponsive, and I am sometimes terrified of what the future holds, questioning my ability to withstand it...than I think of you and Strelley and Jimbo and Nomansland and Nannygoon and so many others who have lost their loved ones at last and are grieving. Ach, it's life. It's hard and full of sorrow, but if we are lucky we find some love along the way. I hope you are comforted by your memories and knowledge that you had love, and did your best to cherish it. I'm going home now to cherish my sweetheart a bit harder. Hang on, dear Laila. Love and peace, Ec.
Laila ,Madeline left her misery at Easter,as there was no cure for PSP there seems to be very little cure for the terrible void it leaves behind, love Rollie
Good to know you still check in with us, Rollie. I'm sure you are suffering, but I do hope you are finding some sparks of joy now and then. You have family near, I think?
Summer is shutting up shop here in Maine. Will it linger longer with you, or go more quickly? I once swam in the Bay of Fundy at the end of September and thought it was pretty warm. The ocean is never warm off Maine!
Love and peace, Easterncedar
Dear Rollie, no you are right, there is no cure or anything that will fill the void that Madeline has left in your life. But if you wake up in the morning, then you have to get up and on with life, somehow! You will find a way to live, it get enjoyment out of life again
Sorry, I went to correct an error and the damned thing went off to the ether!!! Rollie, life will improve, it's still very early days, as they say, one day at a time!!! I am sure you are doing all the correct things, going out, joining different groups anything that gets you out and about. One day, you will find, it's suddenly not such an effort, until then, you know where we are, when you want to talk!!!
Lots of love
Heady
