Good luck with that. We lost 5000 as my dad died when we were due to take our holiday. They wouldnt pay up!
Hi, are you in the UK? I use a company called Staysure. We regularly go to South Africa, for 6/8 weeks at a time. The premium has gone up, but still acceptable. Admittedly, I have not had to claim, thankfully. But they ask the right questions about PSP, apart from the falling. Main interest is in the swallowing and choking. I have said he does have a few problems there, not no hospitals visits, so they have been happy.
We can't get insurance for the States or anywhere across the pond! But that doesn't particularly bother us. It's South Africa we want go to as we have a house over there.
S has various health problems, stroke, heart disease etc! Like I said above, we thankfully have never had to claim, so I can't answer what they would be like then, but so far they have been very understanding and reasonable priced. They are a large firm, so I cant imagine there would serious problems, bar the normal, "computer says no!" until you fight them! Obviously, I will not put in any small claims, especially for falls, to avoid the premium going up too much.
Yesterday, I bought our 4th policy with them. So they know S has had PSP for the last two years!!!
Lots of love

I dont know what country u are livih in? But suggest insurance thru motor/car insurance. Mary tea13
Try a company called Free Spirit
I suggest you try All Clear or Free Spirit. Both specialise in covering hard to insure medical conditions ( at a cost) and are knowledgeable about unusual medical conditions. Other insurers who won't insure will often send customers to them.
Good luck!

We use Saga they cover the condition. We have not had any problems.
Hi there - you could call the PSP Helpline on Tel 0300 011 0122, or email helpline@pspassociation.org.uk. They have details of about 6 companies who have been helpful in the past - I think some of which are already mentioned in this post, but may give you a few more options.
Best wishes
Liz
Staysure as previous comment. We took out another annual policy last year ? September 2014, when my wife still had Parkinson's! Not over the top. Around £160. (Not U S )Main issue seems to be swallowing. They don't ask how many times aday she falls over backwards!! Off to Ireland in the camper next month. I'll update when we tell them that it's now PSP. Though what difference should a name make??
So glad to hear it, Jill. I've missed you! And I want to know more about Yorkshire sometime. Love, Easterncedar
