So annoying and upsetting. I often wonder what happens to those who don't have someone like you, me and other carers keeping an eye on them. What are you going to do? Will you show the photo to the care company? I expect the carers will say he must have pulled it out himself. I have had to speak to several staff about things I wasn't happy about and I telephoned the company twice to say I didn't want certain staff again. Apparently neither of them work for that company any more. I don't know if it is because of what I said but was probably what others said as well. I know they don't like it but I stay nearby certain staff and watch what they do but most I know I can trust thank goodness.

I do hope tonight's staff are more considerate and caring.

X

I showed the boss this morning when she popped in because I was not a happy bunny. Bad enough the pad was not put on correct but the 7:30 carer turned up at 10 this morning and she was put out because I would not let her sighn the book to say she had been. And being as the boss knows he is not capable of pulling pads off etc I think the picture paints a thousend words

I would show your social worker as well, after all, they recommend these companies and none of these services are cheap. It costs us a fortune, but they peanuts to their staff!

where do you li e . We have had 104 different carers in eighteen months . Only seven are the original ones I stay with the company because I am afraid they will be just as bad . it's how they are all organised isn't it .

Most of the girls are good and we do normally have the same girls but there is 2 girls that have just been paired up together and I'm not sure who is the ring leader but the standard of there work is not very good. When they worked with others they was ok. I told the boss this morning as we was washing and dressing Brian (yes the boss is hands on) they seem to want to get out before they get in and Brian gets flustered and agitated because they seem to want to rush him and as you know hurry up dies with psp. we have had some very good girls but mainly because of poor organisation of Rota"s they leave . we never know who is coming through the door . it's why I hav ended up not letting go of handling myself .

with having the ceiling hoists I no get him out of bed myself after seeing to his bottom half . Although we put pads on at night he is mainly dry in the morning . I have made up a tube and bag so he can pee while in bed and thn I prompt his movements va

Can cleans cream and roll him . I take my time so he isn't as stressed . Then get sling on and hoist into his chair . I leave him then for them to change and was his top half . the girls are usually talking over his head complaining about their Rita's which doesn't hell him at all . I do find I need them to hoist him into the bed but knee shin I ask them to leave him while I once again freshen Jim up .

I have to do it during the day anyway . unless he becomes incontinenetk won't use lads during the day unless I pop out .m

Brian is in pads all the time and when he is infection free he can stand useing the rotastand and I can manage him on my own. But as soon as he has got any sort of infection or is stressed his legs give out and then it takes two people for safety. I have one girl in the morning and I act as the 2nd carer and I manage for the rest of the day on my own. We have two girls at night to get him ready for and into bed. So I still keep control of what is going on. Janexx
