Hi everyone, just found this breaking news item; I am thinking it might be a godsend to PwPSP!

Something amazing-could this help our loved ones?
Thanks for posting this very informative information. I might help at some stage of PSP but in some stages the patient might not even be able to lift a finger for "yes" or "no" responses. Not being negative. This certainly has it's place in the PSP process.
Oh dear, I agree perfectly but it is just a beginning and maybe could be developed and may help SOME people SOME of the time -similar to the adage you can please SOME people............
Sadly my husband died in June this year but I am sure that if we had known about this magic machine it could have been a godsend to him. The only thing left to him seemed to be the strength in his hands and it was very difficult for him to communicate with us. I had to find simple questions which required yes/no answers and he would give one squeeze for no and two for yes and even the penultimate day before he died he was still able to squeeze my hand with some strength. I am sure this has a place in helping our loved ones who have this terrible disease. Thank you for sharing this with us..

i understand the problems that people have with PSP but very little reference is stated about CBD. i believe i am in the minority but i wouldn't like to have my problem NOT mentioned from time to time.

sorry if I offended you in my excitement but as I dont know personally if CBD could be helped but only have personal experience of PSP it wouldn't be right for me to have suggested it and I would have had a whole load of people complaining instead of one!
what is this wonderful thing that could help people with PSP more explanation please
Hi ronh, it was an article in the news, here is the link;
I have also enclosed it at the top. Basically it is a communication breakthrough whereby a person who has lost the power of speech could use a glove with programming and computers which on certain movements can produce a sentence such as I am thirsty. I know my mum with PSP would be able to use it for a while but of course it will vary across the population but certainly a promise of more to come. Much more than thumbs up and it gives people a voice for a bit longer. I imagine it would cover a few different health problems in the long run. We can but hope!
