Jim was taken into hospital last Monday with a chest infection only to be told he would not last the day but he has and slowly but surely he is recovering. They have said that he will have to be fed through a tube small price to have him home for Christmas. Off to bed now as I have not had any sleep for 48 hours but had a glass of wine which should help. Just wanted to share my good news. Good nite.Denise xx

You must be exhausted, mentally and physically. I hope the wine did the trick. I also hope you will be able to enjoy Christmas together with no more frightening moments.
Thinking of you both.

Hope this means a good Christmas for you (and for all of us).We had an early start today but he is back asleep now so I can get E Mails do a bit of banking without interuptions.Precious moments nowadays.Px
Glad to hear you have survived the scare. No two days alike !! Hope all goes well now.
Enjoy Christmas, Jean
Good morning, Denise, your news about Jim is very heartening. Have no fears about the PEG, it will relieve him of the fear of swallowing food and it going down the wrong way resulting in another infection. Roisin used the pump at night which made more time available for her during the day with just three twenty minute sessions to give her water and medication via syringes.
More time to enjoy Christmas.
