Depressed.....

Dad was fitted with a peg in August end but his condition seems to have deteriorated very quickly. He seems to be making sounds all day through and gets spasms where his whole body suddenly jerks and hands go up and down. Dad still seems to understand when we ask him to move and all so I assume he feels the pain and hence at times makes faces and at times tries to smile... My concern is he makes this groaning sounds all day through... Is that normal or it could be something he is not able to communicate... Recently we had an incident where he accidentally open the lock of the peg and all the feed came out. His bp had shot up and he was extremely restless . To me it seems that his condition has worsened after this incident.. anyone experienced such a thing before

A number of carers have commented here on the non-stop groaning, which doesn't seem to be related to physical discomfort. If you search through past posts, you may be able to find more information. All the best, Easterncedar
