Geoff has died!

My darling Geoff died 12th April. He contracted pneumonia on the Monday before and fell asleep. Thank god his suffering is over and I send love and wish strength to anybody still battling with this horrendous illness xxx

I am so sorry for the loss of your dear husband please accept my condolences, I hope you will be able to remember all the good times you had together before the dreadful disease came into your lives I try to do this since the loss of my husband last December and it does help me through the difficult days, please take care of yourself now. SanandGeoff, Sorry for your loss. How long did Goeff suffer with PSP? At least he passed peacefully and is as rest. Now you must take care of yourself in his absence. I hope you will stay connected to us and post your information and advice to assist others. Jimbo

Hello Laila -

It feels awful at the time, but in fact when the nightmare is over you will find some of your grieving has been done already.

However much you think you are prepared, when the time comes it will still hurt, but you will be glad to have had the chance to say what needs to be said now, and to make each day as good as you can.

Hi Laila, welcome to the site. You will soon find how valuable it is. Yes, we have all shed buckets full of tears.

Each time we go out and I see healthy old people, lots older than S, a physical pain comes over me. I want to scream and shout at them, especially, if they don't appear to be living life to the full, or moaning over little things, that you and me know don't matter!

You are not alone out there, everyone on this site is reaching across the ether to give you a hug. Sounds soppy, I know, but it get me through the day. Just typing this, I feel better, knowing I'm talking to someone who knows exactly what I'm going through.

So please, please keep in touch. Let us know how your husband gets on when you go to the doctors on Monday. Ask any questions, somebody here will know the answer, having already been through that stage
