Sorry, what is it and why would you use it for PSP?

Rotigotene is also called neupro and comes in a patch . The patch comes in various dosage strengths and from a start of a low dose the amount of drug in the patch is increased until the right dosage is reached for the patient. It is what is called a Dopamine Agonist and works by replacing the chemical dopamine in the nerve endings which has been destroyed by the illness. Dopamine helps the nerve cells in the brain to function correctly and relay nerve impulses and messages. This is a very simple explanation. It is used to help control movement disorders. It is NOT a cure but it can bring relief. I believe sometimes it is used in conjunction with levadopa which is the main drug used in control of Parkinson's Disease.

yes your spot on with that ulia for every function even lifting a finger uses dopamine and as we dont produce enough of it its used in conjunction with Levadopa to allow me to function to some degree the more you do the more you use therefore ive been told to slow right down which is difficult when youve been active all your life prior to PSP

please tell me were I can perchase leveadope or Dopamine

Dear Stalbans, I do not think that you can buy levadopa or Rotigotine yourself. They are prescription drugs and both need to be monitored by a professional medic.
