Yakult and wind.

My MIL had terrible cramping wind from the start after having the PEG fitted and we tried everything to help. Someone suggested putting a Yakult down her tube everyday and the problem was instantly cured. Wish we had discovered it a year earlier!!

Yes these things are so simple they often get overlooked. Mum used to have the Actimel drinks after being hospitalised for a time. It is given automatically to those on antibiotics in hospital to alleviate the accompanying stomach issues. But more importantly mum absolutely loved them and would drink those back without any thickeners due to their thicker consistency and even better would drink them when she was not drinking anything else. However I never got the care staff to think in the same way despite telling them over and over so I was the one who gave them to her every day. She particularly lived the coolness of them as hey were straight from the fridge. I don't know if it was thirst, ease of swallowing or what but she was very keen to have lots of ice cream towards the end as well.
