Trying not to freak out!

Hello all! So glad that we all have this platform to vent, it really has helped me so much! So let me start by saying Thank You! Trying so hard not to freak out... I had Cyberknife treatment in January of 2024. My last session was on January 17th. When I started the journey, my PSA was 13.72, I had my first follow up PSA test in April and it came down to 6.97, I was thrilled as that is about a 50% drop. I had my second (6 month) PSA test on July 3rd and my PSA went up a little bit to 7.69, my oncologist was okay with that based on starting point but my urologist was alarmed and immediately stated that it was too high and scheduled me for a follow up PSA test in 6 weeks and after that, if needed, he said that I will have to get another petscan. Has anyone ever had this happen to them? I am so worried that there is either more cancer that showed up or that it metastasized to somewhere else. My original petscan didn't show anything but I guess you never know!

Your urologist is totally ignorant of radiation oncology. There is no reason to see him for anything other than urological issues. Read this:
