I'm not a math person, but this seems to be way more than "doubling." More like 18x?
Not finding any literature online that addresses this big of a jump. What the...?
My urologist is currently in Europe. Wondering if any of you have experienced that big of a jump and survived. (If you did not survive, no need to answer.)
Thanks much. Hope to be able to give back to this group as well at some point. SPJ

Thanks man, it's especially nice to hear back from a tall guy (I'm 6'4")!
Turns out I'm a huge idiot. For about 5 hours today, it was all a big freakout. Then I finally spoke to a doctor who informed me my PSA did not go from .06 to 1.11. It went from .06 to 0.11. All that cortisol coursing through my veins for nothing. Will still probably need radiation, but after today, that's actually sounding like good news. Glad I didn't make any rash decisions besides joining this group.
I know the doubling factor can very overwhelming. At this stage you are fine. If your PSA jumps above 4.0, that is when another treatment may be mandated.
I am assuming you are on some form of anti-androgen such as Lupron or Eligard?
Interesting you should ask. No, they don't seem interested in providing any treatment apart from radiation, and they want me to do it asap. I will ask about those medications, MJCA, thank you . Hey does MJCA stand for what I think it does? If so, it could have described me 10 years ago in PS. Now just the MJ part applies. Also appreciate your calming words of reassurance.
