Erections, cockrings, pumps, injectables...

Hey gentlemen! I am looking for some experienced advice. I have been using "the pump" for the past year since my prostatectomy. It's not the fancy Vacurect one....just the regular model. After pumping, I have tried putting a cock ring around JUST my cock but find that the erection won't stay. Alternatively, I have found that a ring around cock & balls works. The stretchiness of the rings (or lack of stretchiness) increases the quality of the erection but also increases discomfort. Erections are good enough for masturbating but not hard enough for anal penetrative sex. I asked my urologist about injectable options. We tried a full dose of Alprostidil (4ml). I have used it 4 times. The erections are really no better than the pump and causes a different discomfort. The 1st time I tried it with my female partner, I found that penetrative sex actually pushed the blood out of my penis and it soft. I ALSO found that when I stood up instead of lying down, my penis got harder! (weird). Before trying penetrative sex with my male partner after injecting, I tried putting a silicone ring around my cock & balls to stop blood from being pushed out. Though I did not have success with anal penetration, I found my erection was harder and probably good enough for vaginal penetration. I mentioned to my doctor about the Tri-mix option and he seemed to think that Alprostadil was better for me. I also asked about the MUSE suppository and was dissuaded from even trying it. Can anyone give me their experience with different injectibles, using cock rings, etc?

Trimix is less painful because there is less alprostadil, which is the main ingredient. You have to stand after the injection. MUSE doesn't work as good.

Thanks for answering Allen. I'm guessing my urologist is not suggesting Trimix because it has less Alprostadil...... I need the full dose.
