A PSMA scan last week revealed I have stage 4 metastatic prostate cancer. It's in my pelvic lymph nodes and those behind my stomach. I'll receive my first lupron injection after two weeks of bicalutamide, which I started Monday, followed by 2 more weeks of bicalutamide. Week 5 I begin daily xtandi and lupron injections every 3 months for an indefinite peroiod. My medical oncologist believes I will be on the last two the remainder of my life. I should know soon when the radiation begins. I'm handling everything okay for now but is beginning to set in now that treatment has begun. I'm actively searching for a therapist to talk with about everything. My autistic older brother came to live with me after our mother passed away a couple years ago. He requires a great deal of my time and I have been trying, unsuccessfully, to get him some sort of financial benefits and permanent housing. Texas is not a friendly state for people with autism and that makes it very challenging,
