Rectal douching after EBERT

Wondering what others have experienced and/or been told about rectal douching after radiation therapy.

I am assuming this would be dependent on the level of damage done to the rectum by treatment. One book I read said you should never douche after EBERT period. That seemed a bit extreme...

I have a thing about being super clean when bottoming. I will be starting 9 weeks of EBERT by the beginning of March.

How have others handled this?

Thanks,

Rich

You should wait at least 3 months before inserting anything up your butt. The radiation makes the tissue friable and subject to tearing for awhile.
