While my urologist doesn't believe me, I think I have had surgical staples migrate from my bladder down my penis.
This is not from having my prostate removed, rather from having a kidney removed. I would feel a sharp pain, like a pin prick, first at my perineum (or taint, between balls and anus), then in the middle of my penis and finally at the frenulum, at the base of the glans (head) of my penis.
When I have reported this to him, he just gives me a blank stare and continues on. I now have a diverticulum (small bulge) on the side of my bladder that the radiologist is suddenly calling congenital even though it wasn't there before I had my kidney removed and is at just about the spot where the ureter from the removed kidney used to attach to my bladder.
I will be getting rid of this doctor in a few months, after a couple more CT scans to be sure the kidney cancer hasn't returned.
Hi
These are surgical clips not staples on outside
This is so important they only show up on CT. Ya know you know
Thanks for the correction, Frankie112233.
It is interesting that you say the show up on a CT scan. I've had CT scans every 6 months since the nephrectomy but there is never a mention of clips nor to any bright spots show up, that I can see, on the scans themselves. I suppose that could be that my bladder is always at least half full so it just shows as a big white blob.
