Am tired of whining and bitching about having P.C. so lets play a game. I got my bill for my treatment at an NCI-cancer center: MRI, biopsy, Decipher test, Fiducial Markers and SpaceOAR, 5 sessions of radiation, 3 Lupron shots, a cardiology workup, one appointment with a med onc, three with a rad onc, three with a urologist.
I live in New York City and have Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield insurance.
Guess my total bill
Guess my out of pocket payment
Whoever comes closest without going over wins.

so you must have good insurance. you are just 64 so no medicare i have medicare and anthem blue cross something or other and would probably pay $1500 since that is the yearly out of pocket max.
Hi Unhappy......I can relate. I wrote only some of my situation in my post.... "A 4 Year Journey" . All of us in this brotherhood need to have someone who understands the difficulty we experience. It helps to talk with a fellow survivor. I really like how you say "whine and bitch" because it does feel that way some days. I think all us survivors appreciate the ability to have another survivor to talk to, who understands our new quality of life challenges....things we can't discuss with others. I see you also live in NYC like me, and I have United Health Care Insurance which has covered all expenses except my Out of Pocket of $1600 per year. If you ever want to bitch and whine.....I'd be happy to listen......and share. All the best to you, from a fellow New Yorker. BTW...your expenses =$215,000 and O of P=$2000??? What do we win?😃😃
You were the closest. ~$225,000 and $2,500 out of pocket. Good thing I didn't get treated in October or out of pocket would have been $5K since it would have crossed into a New Year. Thanks for the offer--am having a REALLY rough time with ADT so may take you up on it.
I was on Orgovyx and that was bad enough, so I feel for you with your medication and the side effects of the treatment. Looking back on my 4-year journey seems unreal but hopefully that will be in the past and the next 4+ will be uneventful. However, the quality-of-life problems unfortunately will most likely remain. If you decide you would like to share....feel free to do so....it helps to vent with someone who relates to the situation we face. Have a nice weekend.
Thanks. Was cleared for biking FINALLY so just had a 20 mile ride. Didn't want to overdo it on my first ride in four months but it felt so good I didn't even notice how #*&$*#&$*& hot and humid it is right now. Have a nice weekend yourself.
