Has anyone had experience with Taxoetere, I had a second opinion about my PC and the Doc. wants to add Taxoetere to my treatment of ADT, EBRT and Brachy, due to the large number of Gleason 10 cores, scheduled for a MRI,

my understanding is that Taxoetere is chemo

It has minimal effectiveness when used is part of primary treatment for high risk PC. Read this:

It doesn't seem to do much even for recurrent men or for men with very few metastases. Timing is everything:

Thanks Allen

My doc. gave me a similar study the he was one of the researchers

i think the results are similar 4 yr OS of 86% with AS ( ADT) and RT and 93% with AS(ADT, RT and CT(chemo)

update Spoke with my doc. he said the in the study included

ADT-EBRT-BT-CT(chemo ) [ Firmagon + bicalutamide and chemo until testosterone is zero then Lupron and continue Chemo( every 3 weeks 6 treatments have EBRT then BT with Lupron for 1 year]

not sure if that makes a difference
