Restore?

I was just diagnosed and have started seeking info. One suggestion was something called the Restore project? Can someone fill me in?

Dx in 2011. Treatment in 2018-19.

I read about the Restore project here. Contacted them and was accepted into the study.There are control and experimental groups in the study. I'm in the experimental group. It's a "rehab" study designed to help gay men with PC regain/improve their sexual quality of life post treatment (since you are recently diagnosed - welcome to a group that no one wants to belong to - you may not be an appropriate participant). Among the study's many components, it includes videos that describe exercises one can do to improve urinary functioning, ED, and anal functioning (as it relates to sex). They also provide other types of support (meds, masturbation devices, and so on).

I found the project staff to be helpful, non-judgmental, supportive, and quite knowledgeable. In all honesty, you could find all of the the information and services that they provide on your own via the internet and chat groups. BUT, having all of this in one place and with such a great staff directing the project is a real plus. AND, you're helping others, as well.

I do not know the specifics of their criteria for acceptance into the study but it's worth a call or email to them if it sounds like something of interest to you.
