Guy, The usual issue is whether you are doing your kegels properly. There's a bunch of different muscles down there, and it's fairly easy to miss doing it correctly. Check out this video. vimeo.com/279497497
When I started doing the kegels when standing it was when I felt most the improvements. 2 weeks though might be early. At least for me it was. I gained full controll at month 3 after surgery.
Also I was not always doing kegels. You have to give some rest to the muscles. It is as any other muscles. They will get stronger with working out but you can't do too much.
Two weeks is too early. I still had my catheter in at two weeks. Constant contraction of those muscles is not only not possible but also not good for you. You can over-exercise those muscles and develop the opposite problem: not being able to pee at all. Stay with it.
Guy, you are welcome. Where would we be without this forum? This might be over sharing; if so forgive me. As I write this I am also spending 10 in the vacuum pump to help maintain capacity in my erectile tissues if that ever comes back. Part of the penile rehab program at the men's health clinic I attend ... Now times up.
Thanks for the question and I watched the video. So when can I pull my finger out of my butt hole !!?? Actually I am starting the Kegel exercises again, because I was not doing them properly.
