I don't know whether sit ups aggravate retention, but they don't seem to be recommended as an exercise any longer as they aggravate back pain and have limited muscle engagement. Instead, could you try planks, dead bugs, bicycle crunches, etc.? I exercise my core quite a lot and still pee straightaway. I also take tamsulosin but am wondering whether to give it a rest.
What is the connection of the mitral regurg and the floor exercises? (I had gradually worsening MR since before my PC diagnosis, had a robotic mitral repair last March).
Just thinking. Since there is nothing in your bio regarding age, I am going to assume the 83 maybe your age. If that is in fact the case then I can attest to the fact that as I age my pee has decreasing force. Just a normal part of the aging process.
I exercise everyday with weights, physical body exercises and walking about 5 to 6 miles a day. Modern core exercises are much more useful than old style sit-ups. I you may want to look into there.
Well I was really close if you double your age. Seriously that is a totally different story. I would say most of the guys and gals on this advanced PC forum run in their 60s.
Hope your Urologist can help and provide some answers.
