Question: TRUS vs TPMB

Under active surveillance as Gleason 6 and time for confirmatory biopsy. My TRUS was miserable last time... would TPMB be better?

Transperineal biopsy has less sepsis, but fewer urologists are expert at it, because it is relatively new.

Thanks, is transperineal always MRI fused, or do they use ultrasound probe for guidance?

I've had 2 tp biopsies with local anaesthetic pain level 3 out of 10, I'm assuming the consultant was very experienced

Was it in an office? My urologist said he would have to do transperineal at hospital.
