Especially "hi" Tall Allen! My husband with PC in 2015. He was a 3+4 with a PSA that got close to (but never over) 10. There was some concern about extracapsular extension. He chose high-dose brachy at UCLA. He got a PSA reading yesterday of 0.26 --- the lowest he has had so far. I'm just writing to share the bounces here in case anyone else is experiencing anything similar. It's not for the faint of heart, for sure, but here's a lot of evidence that bounces can, and do happen. Best wishes to everyone who is dealing with PC.
Yours,
Mary

John's pattern has been particularly nerve-wracking. I always use his example as an illustration of the patience required.
BTW- Have you read Jonathan Rauch's The Constitution of Knowledge? He goes a lot into the epistemology of the media and politics. It is probably old hat to you, but I found his historical perspective and analysis of the current state of knowledge fascinating.
Oh, COOL about the Rauch book. I haven't read it. I really look forward to seeing what it has to say! Thanks for the tip. Another one I am looking forward to reading is "The Paradox of Democracy Free Speech, Open Media, and Perilous Persuasion," by Zac Gershberg and Sean Illing. Ezra Klein had a great podcast on it recently. nytimes.com/2022/07/26/opin....
Hope you are well, Allen!! Thank you for all you do for others.
Thanks! I will read that. I'm not sure I agree with JSMill that all speech should be encouraged in the public square. There are kinds of injurious hate speech that I think should be restricted, especially if it is only to rouse the rabble to violence (e.g., Jan 6, Kristalnacht)
