If I stop ADT after 30 mo and my Testosterone stays at castrate level for 6mo, is this effectively the same as if I had 36 months of ADT?

Yes.
Failing Lupron does not mean you will not respond to other drugs, i.e. zytiga, xtandi, etc.
Yep, I had a similar question for my MO. It’s not the lupron that keeps the PSA down; it’s the lack of testosterone. If T stays low, for whatever reason, and your cancer is hormone-sensitive, then yes your PSA can also stay low.
But TA is right; while lupron’ s effect on our cancer is indirect, it does a fair bit more than lower the T. Sadly, all of it undesirable.
Another indication that you’re remaining hormone-sensitive: as T does return to normal, PSA would start rising as well. Sadly.

Well, hopefully PSA won't start rising as well. It doesn't always go up.

That would be nice.
