Prostate Cancer with Covid - UPDATE

I appear to have "recovered" from the dreaded Covid virus. [Diagnosed Nov 15] Last handful of days I've had no fever, which was the primary indicator that I was ill. Mostly my temps ranged from 99.5° to 100.5° with one excursion to 103°, quickly dampened via Tylenol. Throughout this period my Oxy readings have been 92-94%

At the beginning some phlegm coughed up [very minor] otherwise some dry coughs, also minimal.

The biggest impact in the last 20 days has been EXTREME FATIGUE and some of this still lingers on.

By extreme fatigue, I mean knock you on your ass fatigue! My normal daily routine is walking 4-5 miles.

With the virus active during the first week - 500 steps/day was a major accomplishment.

I recommend every household have a finger oxy meter and "contact less" thermometer. I got to hate the traditional one [keep it under tongue till it beeps] with a passion.

I feel relatively lucky considering my age and the prostate treatment mid year. There is some indication that ADT medications may help vs C19. So far no crazy side effects [toes falling off, lunacy .... ]

. Recommend a very careful ramp-up of "normal" activities - many C19 patients get follow-on pneumonia.

Regards

Tony
