Period like pain at 34 weeks.

Hi mums. I'm now 34+5 and for last few days I've been having period like pains at the bottom of my belly. Not sure what that exactly is, as didn't have there in my first pregnancy. It's not like tightening of muscles, but bit weird. I had some show about 2 weeks ago, but it was just clear mucus, and on yesterday morning it was bit more, but this time brownish. I know that show can be few days or weeks before delivery, so that does not mean much anyway. I called surgery yesterday, and requested call from midwife, but she newer got back to me.

Any ideas?

Hi hun , at first I thought that you were experiencing braxton hicks (false contractions)

but after reading that you have had some show , I think you should have a Gp appointment if your midwife is not responding , and seek advice from them, as it could mean labour is starting early , or is about to start anytime from now, Im not 100% sure as im in my first pregnancy , all I can say is I started having false contractions at 34 weeks, and more discharge , and Im 37 weeks and havent seen my show yet, so I cant be of much help with that im afraid , but to be on the safe side , I would book an appointment with your GP , and ask them to check you out , good luck with everything!
