Hi, I am 17 weeks and not showing. Is this normal? I was with the doctor the other day and she said everything was fine, but everyone keeps

telling me I should be showing by now. I know everyone is different but starting to worry a little. X

I wouldn't worry about not showing. I am nearly 27 weeks with my 4th baby and my bump is small. Although my baby is measuring big for this stage. Some women have a lot of water and some like me are carrying all baby. Don't worry as soon you will be having your 20 week scan and will be reassured. Good luck xx

Definitely don't worry! Everyone carries babies differently. I know people who carry neat little bumps that stay modestly tucked away until the end. Not like me - my tummy is out there for all to view almost immediately. And along with that comes early changes in wardrobe (then later changes in wardrobe!), a complete lack of being able to hide it from anyone within sight of me, not to mention having to negotiate very early in the process where to stop in front of the sink!

Besides, even at 27 weeks, when I lie flat on my back there's not too much of a bump. But the minute I stand up, he's all out there! So he's got plenty of room to reside in there without hanging out in the open.

Never let other people's opinions worry you!! If I'd listened to people around me, I'd have been having twins in each of my pregnancies

Thank you both for your reassuring comments. It's just when so many people say the same thing it gets you wondering all sorts. I am bridesmaid for my sister at the end of october, so I am sure I will balloon in time for that! Thanks again xx

i didnt start showing until about 25 weeks and still only had a tiny bump, im nearly 37 weeks and people dont believe me when i tell them but she measuring healthy,like the others said everyones different and it depends on your shape and size to start with xx
