7 weeks post partum is spotting normal?

I’m 7 weeks post partum today and haven’t had the easiest time. I’m breastfeeding in combo with formula. (Trying to wean off BF tbh but it’s taking a while).

The lochia finished and I’ve had some brown/pink discharge. Thought I was getting a period but it seems not yet. Is this normal? I know Bf can stop a period returning, is it that BF has kind of halted my periods but it’s letting out some discharge due to hormones changing a bit?

I’m also experiencing night sweats occasionally but I also have covid so am putting that down to that.

I combi feed my first until she was 16 months and didn't get my period back till she was 12 months , so I think any amount of breastfeeding can interrupt your cycle. I bled for ages with my first, especially if I was more active. If I took the dog for a walk etc. My second I hardly bled at all, so I think it be different for every pregnancy

Thanks I’ll pop it down to hormones for ow. Just annoying I have to keep wearing pads!

Hey, I had the same spotting at 10 weeks. I think its normal because of hormones. I kept thinking my periods on its way but its not arrived yet.
