Brown spotting 6/7 weeks pregnant

Hi I’m just wondering if this is normal as I’m so scared of miscarrying again. There only seems to be brown blood when I wipe but I’ve put a pad on just incase. I’m not in any pain just have tummy ache all over a lot of the time and I’m constipated too which probably isn’t helping. Thank you all in advance xx

Hi lovely I had brown spotting too and a period type cramp and my first scan showed baby was doing fine. I had IVF so had a scan at 6 weeks but was 7 weeks 4 days at the time. It happen twice to me. When I rang the nurse on both occasions she was not concerned Do you have a scan soon or is it the 12 week one xx

I had a scan 23rd they think about five weeks but it’s showing an empty sac so hoping when I go Friday 2nd April they will see something more to say there’s a baby there. I’m so anxious as I had a miscarriage in 2019 xx

Hi lovely, I had a bleed very similar to this at 6.5 weeks, it was brown blood and only really when I wiped.. I did the same as you and put a pad on so I could monitor it better. I called my doctors and she was really reassuring but to reassure me further she transferred me to EPU... All was ok thankfully and although I couldn’t see much of baby as it was so early, I did see a faint heartbeat! The midwife told me that it could of been implantation bleeding, which I didn’t realise could happen so late. She told me brown blood is old, so generally it’s nothing to worry about, as is a bit of cramping, but it’s always a good idea to let your doctor or midwife know if you have any bleeding at all. They’ll probably say to wait till your scan on Friday, but it might put your mind at ease a bit just speaking to someone ❤️ It’s so hard not to worry though but make sure you take it easy over the next couple of days ❤️ Sending lots of love xx

Aww thank you so much I spoke to EPU and they said same as you and wait till Friday and fingers crossed will see something. I think it’s because i found out way too early so I just really worry about everything. Thank you so much and will let you know what happens Friday xx

I’ve had my scan this morning still spotting brownness they have confirmed I’m 5weeks and 2 days pregnant and I have another scan booked in for the 16th April to hopefully see the heartbeat and a little baby shape 🤞 xxx

Hi lovely I’m not too bad thank the spotting seems to of spotted after a week so thinking it might of been breakthrough bleeding. I keep getting waves of feeling sick and gippy but not been sick so everything for now is looking positive. Can’t wait for next weeks scan now to make sure everything is still ok 😆

Breakthrough bleeding is a lot more common than people think but it’s always really stressful regardless! I’m glad it seems to have stopped ❤️ I didn’t have any sickness till I was 7 weeks and was only sick the one time, rest of the time just felt nauseous for most of the day till about week 9.. had a few symptomless days and then it came back again 😆 it’s pretty much petered off now, but my sense of smell is ridiculous so there are lots of things that make me wretch at the moment 😂 oh the joys of being pregnant! You could be one of the lucky ones that doesn’t really get it that strongly, my friend barely had any morning sickness!

I’ll be thinking of you on the 16th, what time is your appointment?

I’ve got my first official NHS scan on the 13th.. excited and nervous! I’ve got large fibroids so I’m just worried they’re getting bigger but fingers crossed it’ll all be fine.

With my first to I was so sick I was on tablets for the first four months. I’m just hoping it’s because I’ve not got chance to think with these two they are 4 and 2. Time will tell I guess. Good looking on Tuesday hun I’m sure everything will be fine I have one on my right side too. The stress we go through hey 😆 let me know how you get on too hun and I will when I have mine xxx

I’ve starting spotting again over the weekend and everyone and then getting sharp pain to left or right side 😢 just hope everything is ok.

Oh no you poor thing, it’s such a worry. Have you called your midwife or EPU? Hope you’re ok lovely, it’s probably all fine as it’s brown blood again and cramping is so common but always important to get it checked out.
