My husband is on metformin and has now had it increased to 2000 mg daily with another tab now included called for Dapagliflozin 10mg, but when he’s using the urine dipstick the colour is dark brown which indicates far too much sugar, he’s been passing blood for three weeks and was given antibiotics for seven days, drs said there was no uti, but it worries me and him greatly that despite doubling his metformin and adding another tablet his blood sugars are too high, he is overweight he smokes, he eats chicken fish lots of veg and works very long hours ( nightworker) he’s due to go take another urine sample to surgery Monday, has this happened to anyone else, he does drink lots of water throughout the night shift and forever in the toilet every hour

You might be better off posting on a diabetes forum, the nct is for pregnancy and babies, so there might not be many people with any advice.
