Hi I have been recently diagnosed with gestational diabetes and I have been testing my blood glucose 1 hour from the moment I start to eat my meal. I am concern I got it wrong and I should test 1 hour from the time I finish my meal
Which one is it? So confused here
I have contacted my diabetes nurse but she hasn't gotten back to me. Just wondering if anyone is doing what I'm doing ??
Thanks

I'm type 1 (with a newborn) and my sister has gestational diabetes currently. We were both told one hour before food and 4 hours after (that's the average for sugars to settle once you've eaten). Obviously, sometimes you eat sooner than 4 hours, I just tested immediately before food then. Remember to keep a note! Fx
