I am currently 27 weeks pregnant and had two risk factors for gestational diabetes - my BMI is 30+ and I have a first degree relative with type 2.
Today I had my GTT, and won’t find out the results until next week, but ever since the test, I’ve felt very nauseous, headachey with the driest mouth ever!! Has anyone else experienced this? Could this be a sure sign I have diabetes?
Thanks in advance for any responses.

Hi, no I don’t think it’s a sign you have GD. I had the hugest sugar crash the afternoon/evening of my test day. Don’t remember having a dry mouth but the nausea and headache was horrible! My test was negative (I had to repeat as baby was huge and had the same then with a negative also). Hopefully you’re all good!
it’s probably worth just waiting for the results. I had to do the glucose test with both my pregnancies due to very high BMI, both mine were negative and I have a very healthy 8 year old and a very healthy 2 year old, they were on the big side 9lb 4 and 9lb 11. Natural birth for both only gas and air. I feel as tho the professionals like to try and scare us mums. Try not to panic. Take care and wish you all the best. X
Hi I tested negative for gestacional diabetes but I’m always thirsty and still get a bit nauseous. So maybe just wait for your appointment and see what they say.
