Placenta covering internal OS

Hello!

At my 20 week scan I was told my placenta is completely covering my internal os. I was told not to worry and they most likely move and booked me in for another scan later on. At my Midwife appointment, she didn't seem phased by it and we didn't continue talking about it. We had talked about c-sections due to complications from my first birth which I will be discussing with my consultant at my next appointment, but we left it at that.

A few days ago I had a call from another midwife who I had not met, who in not so many words said "Why are you discussing c-sections as your going to have one anyway" I was a bit taken back by this as I was told not to worry but she continued to tell me the risks (quite abruptly) and said in all her years of experience when it's completely covering the internal os it will not move!

Just wondered if anyone else has had similar experiences and whether it moved? I haven't experienced any spotting/bleeding etc and I'm convinced it's moved due to the position of the baby!

Mine wasn’t completely covering but they do move. There’s a lot of growing going to happen between 20 weeks and the 32 weeks when they’ll make the call on whether there’s an obstruction to baby coming out naturally. Loads of people have C sections and go on to have vaginal births.I think, and I know it’s hard, try not to dwell on it for now. Worrying won’t change the outcome and you won’t know your options really until nearer 32 weeks. Hope all goes well for you 😘
